A Cuppa, a Conversation and a Community: Helping Women Feel Less Alone Through Menopause
A community gathering in Market Harborough is creating space for women to talk openly about midlife and menopause, share experiences and feel a little less alone.

Sip and Share, an initiative from Simply Menopausal, brings women together in small, informal groups led by volunteer hosts. At Manor Walk Wellness, we are providing the space free of charge, helping to keep these gatherings free for everyone who attends.
The idea is simple: a cup of tea, a welcoming room and the chance to connect with others who may understand what you are going through. Women can ask questions, exchange experiences, have a laugh or simply sit and listen. There is no expectation to share anything personal and no pressure to speak.

Menopause can be a difficult subject to raise, even with the people closest to us. Having somewhere to start that conversation, or hear someone describe an experience that sounds familiar, can offer reassurance and a sense of belonging.
For us at Manor Walk Wellness, making room for these conversations is part of supporting our local community. We hope the gatherings will help women build connections close to home, with familiar faces to return to and opportunities for friendships to grow.
Simply Menopausal supports the volunteer hosts with guidance and evidence-based resources. The sessions offer peer support and access to reliable information, rather than individual medical advice, and develop around the interests and experiences of the women attending.
The next Market Harborough gatherings take place at Manor Walk Wellness on 3 November and 1 December, from 6.30pm to 8pm. Attendance is free, with advance booking through Eventbrite required because space is limited.

At the heart of Sip and Share is the belief that women should have somewhere to feel heard and understood. Sometimes, that connection begins with something as ordinary as sitting down together over a cup of tea.
