Revealed: The Market Harborough streets with the most recorded crime
Latest Leicestershire Police crime data has uncovered the streets in Market Harborough with the highest recorded crime counts over the past five years.
Data from Freedom of Information requests made by the Harborough Mail has revealed that High Street and St Marys Place topped the list in 2025.

High Street recorded 101 incidents in the annual street ranking, followed by St Marys Place with 96. Coventry Road was third, with 61, while The Square recorded 55.
The figures were provided in response to a Freedom of Information request covering 2021 to 2025, offering a picture of how recorded crime counts on the town’s streets have changed over time.
The rankings suggest that some streets repeatedly recorded high numbers of incidents, while others moved up or down the list.
St Marys Place has been consistently prominent in the ranking after it was ranked first in 2021 and 2023, and second in 2022 and 2025.
The High Street has seen an increase of around 60 per cent in reported crime, going from 63 in 2021 to 101 in 2025.
Pear Tree Gardens also saw a marked increase, with six recorded incidents in 2021, reaching 30 in 2025.
Coventry Road also saw a notable change. Its count increased from 48 in 2023 to 89 in 2024, before falling to 61 in 2025.
The Square rose from 42 recorded incidents in 2021 to 55 in 2025. By contrast, Welland Park Road fell from 56 to 36 over the same period, while Leicester Road decreased from 50 to 39.
Similarly, Springfield Street fell from 58 records in 2021 to 26 in 2025, a decrease of around 55 per cent.
The figures from the force did not include information about crime hotspots and targeted policing.
The data also did not break down the figures by offence type, meaning an individual street’s total cannot be attributed to specific types of crime.
