Carly Odell joined The Chron in January 2020 as a senior reporter. After covering maternity leave for the paper's deputy editor in 2022, she is now assistant editor.

Born in Northamptonshire, Carly studied at The University of Chester and completed a journalism masters at Nottingham Trent University before taking on a junior role at another news organisation.
