MP invites South Leicestershire primary schools to enter designs for Christmas card competition
Alberto Costa MP is calling on primary schools across South Leicestershire to submit designs for his annual Christmas card competition.
Pupils are asked to put their artistic skills to the test and make a festive design to go on the MP’s official Christmas card.

The winning design will feature on the front of the card and will be sent to people and organisations in the constituency and further afield.
Two runner-up designs will be added to the back.
Schools are asked to hold their own competition to select hand-drawn artwork by a child of primary school age on an A4 portrait size.
Schools will have to be quick as the winning entries must be submitted to Mr Costa by Friday, November 6.
The MP said: “My annual Christmas Card Competition is always one of the highlights of the year for me, and I am really looking forward to seeing the wonderful designs that South Leicestershire’s talented young people come up with this Christmas.
“Every year I am hugely impressed by the creativity and imagination shown by our local primary school pupils, and choosing a winner is never an easy task.
“There is still time for schools to take part this year, so I would very much encourage any primary schools which have not yet entered to get involved. It is a lovely opportunity for pupils to showcase their artistic talents and, of course, the winning design will take pride of place on the front of my Christmas card.
“I would like to thank all of the schools which are taking part, and I very much look forward to seeing this year’s entries.”
The winning pupil will receive a special prize and certificate, with Alberto also hoping to visit the winning school to congratulate the pupil personally.
Schools should send their winning design by email to [email protected], or by post to: Office of Alberto Costa MP, Unit 3, 8a Lutterworth Road,
Blaby, Leicestershire, LE8 4DN.
