The Knitted Bible Exhibition is coming to town

After a long year of waiting, planning and preparation we are pleased to share the news that the Knitted Bible Exhibition will open to the public at Market Harborough Congregational Church from Sunday 14th June at 2pm to Wednesday 24th June. There is no charge for admission to the exhibition (though any donations are split 50% to the DEC, 50% to Jubilee Foodbank, Bower House and the Cube) and there is no need to book. There is limited on street parking available and a Council car park behind the church. We're at the top of the High Street, so just a short walk from the Square.

The Exhibition is an amazing display of over 30 hand knitted Biblical scenes from both the Old & New Testaments of the Bible and will be of interest to all ages, knitters and none knitters of all age groups. Come and see stories you learned in Sunday School, as well as one's not so familiar. A great way to spend some time whether you're coming solo, in a group or bringing kids or grandkids. Crafters - how would you have done things differently? Sensory opportunities available too.

If you are not familiar with the Knitted Bible Exhibition, it is a series of Biblical stories and scenes brought to life by a group of very clever and talented knitters from St George’s United Reformed Church in Hartlepool. The church group started by knitting just the Last Supper in 2008 and project just grew and grew as people got enthusiastic to make more scenes. It's been featured in the Guardian newspaper as well as countless local press.
