Coffee for commuters: Café to open in Market Harborough station
Catching a train from Market Harborough? Passengers soon will be able to grab a drink and a snack at a new coffee shop and horsebox trailer at the station.
The Flying Bean Café will open on Monday, October 26 offering a range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, hot food and pastries to those passing through the railway station.

The business was founded by Tom Allen, brother of Leicester Tigers’ assistant coach Anthony Allen.
Tom, who started the coffee shop company in 2012, had been tipped off about the vacant retail unit in the station by his brother.
He said: “Sometimes opportunities get created, and sometimes the stars do align.
“We just hope to be the hub of the community around the rail station.”
The company has multiple similar station locations, with this new coffee shop marking a first for Tom.
He explained: “It’s our first relationship with East Midlands Railway, so that’s a nice one as well.
“Hopefully we can do a great job for them as partners, and look to hopefully do some more in the future with them.”
Customers can expect speciality matcha drinks and popular iced drinks; the company’s established house-blend coffee; homemade cakes and fresh pastries baked on site each morning.
In the London-bound car park, there will be a horsebox trailer during peak hours, allowing commuters to pick up coffee and food without having to walk into the station building.
Tom and his team are gearing up for the opening day, getting the final touches finished.
He added: “We are super excited and cannot wait.
“We want to make everyone’s lives just that bit nicer and a bit easier.”
