The dog, said to be Dogo Argentino, is a banned breed in the UK.

In October, police were called to reports of a man and his dog being attacked by another dog between Middle Street and Vicarage Drive.

The team said: “The dog has caused significant concern within the village following reports of attacks on other dogs. The dog has now been seized and enquiries are ongoing.

“Thank you to everyone who reported concerns and supported our investigation.”
