Ian said they are delighted to welcome back Adele Rogers as director of music after a short break due to other commitments.

“Adele renews a long association with the choir and brings with her a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm,” he said.

“We are all excited about our first concert in May - which will have a theme surrounding Victory over Europe (VE) Day.

“We’ll be staging the performance at St Andrew’s Church in Foxton.

“We are also hoping to bring our music to more people all over the Harborough area through concerts and open nights.”

Ian said they are keen to welcome more singers – both male and female.

“There is no audition and it is not essential to be able to read music – most of the choir can’t.

“If you can sing in the bath and are under 120 years of age, then why not come along and give us a try,” said Ian.

“You can be assured of a very warm welcome.

“Both the social and health benefits of singing in a choir are now well documented.

“Choir membership in the UK has rocketed over the last few years so we’d love to have you on board.”

The choir meets in Foxton Parish church on Wednesday nights from 7.30pm-9pm.
