Hot on the heels of a three-week drive-in cinema heading to Market Harborough this summer is a new festival celebrating film and music.

The new all-singing all-dancing one-day spectacular is to be staged at the 90-acre Showground on Gallow Field Road on Saturday July 3.

And it’s being brought to local people by the same entertainments group - Fleckney Events, based nearby on Wentworth Road, Fleckney.

“I have an exciting event coming to Market Harborough in July which is an amazing drive-in 80s festival of film and music,” said their managing director Michael Preston.

“It is called the TimeTrap festival - and we cannot wait to bring it on.

“We will travel back through time, celebrating the best of an era through film and music.

“2021 starts in the iconic era of the ‘80s.

“So put on your outrageous outfits and big hair styles and let’s all go on a time warp adventure full of colour, ending the night with an amazing lights and laser show,” Michael told the Harborough Mail.

“This event will be a drive-in format with space to be able to sit outside your car (guidelines permitting).”

Tickets start at £60 for a car with two people while a VIP ticket will be £80 – with extra passengers at £25 each.
