Aston Martin has revealed two new special (agent) cars to celebrate the release of No Time to Die, the latest in the James Bond film series.
Created by in-house bespoke division Q by Aston Martin, the limited-edition 007 Edition DBS Superleggera and 007 Edition Vantage are part of the British sports car brand’s collaborations with Bond producers Eon Productions.
The DBS Superleggera features in the latest Bond film, along with the Aston Martin V8 that inspired the 007 Edition Vantage, the iconic DB5 and the upcoming Valhalla hypercar.
The Vantage V8 pays homage to the Aston Martin V8 which appeared in 1987’s The Living Daylights and which Daniel Craig drives in No Time to Die.
Finished in Cumberland Grey, it features unique exterior styling including a bespoke mesh grille with chrome bezel that references the V8’s front end and a dashed yellow diffuser inspired by the hazard stripes on the film car’s rockets. Inside, there’s Obsidian black leather upholstery, 007 branding and several of truly geeky nods to the film. As well as a gadget plaque listing the film car’s special features and crosshairs on the gear paddles, the sun visors feature an embroidered radio station frequency – 96.60 – which was the Russian police frequency Bond used to aid his escape in The Living Daylights. And the seatbacks carry the outline of cello ‘f holes’ inspired by the famous downhill cello case chase from the film.
If you want to fully live out your Timothy Dalton fantasies, you can even spec a limited edition set of skis and ski rack – referencing the “winterised” V8 saloon from the film.
Just 100 examples of the 007 Edition Vantage will be built, with prices starting at £161,000.
Even fewer 007 Edition DSB Superleggeras will be built. Just 25 are set to be produced, each costing £279,025.
The special edition car retains all the mechanical elements of the standard DBS Superleggera, which means a 715bhp, 664lb ft, 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 - enough to get any secret agent out of trouble.
Special exterior touches include Ceramic Grey paint, black tinted carbon fibre on the roof, mirror caps, splitter, diffuser and rear spoiler, gloss black diamond turned 21-inch alloys and 007 badges on the side and rear.
Inside the “brooding” interior with red flashes around the black leather, are subtle 007 badges on door cards, armrest buckle badge and subwoofer cover and a sill plaque.
