How Harborough Rotary Club is helping the town’s fully-stretched foodbank

Market Harborough Rotary Club has given the town’s fully-stretched Jubilee Foodbank a £350 shot in the arm.
The organisation has handed over the vital cash donation from a special emergency fund.

Hide Ad“Members decided the local foodbank was in need of support during the Covid-19 lockdown,” said a Rotary Club spokeswoman.
“The money will help pay for extra food supplies for local needy families.”
Margaret Bonser, on behalf of the Jubilee Foodbank Management Committee, said they are adapting to a new way of working using additional volunteers drafted in by Harborough council.
The Rotarians have been meeting using Zoom conference calls.

“At present a cash donation is a very practical way of serving.
“We think the foodbank is working to save families and we are pleased to be able to support them.”
