Harborough MP makes feelings known about Just Stop Oil with X-rated post

Harborough MP Neil O’Brien has made his feelings known about Just Stop Oil on X, formerly know as Twitter, this morning (Tursday) with an X-rated post.

He reposted a Just Stop Oil “breaking news” post with the comment: “Just Stop Being w*****s”.

The original post was put out by Just Stop Oil yesterday. It included a video of Clive Jennings, a Just Stop Oil supporter, delivering a letter to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer’s home calling on him to “end Tory oil and gas”.

In the video, Mr Jennings said: “My name is Clive Jennings. I’m a constituent of Keir Starmer. I’m a member of the Labour Party, have been for over 30 years. I’m also a member of Just Stop Oil.

“I want to deliver a letter to my MP Keir Starmer expressing my desire that something be done about the licences granted for oil and gas and, specifically if Labour does get in, that each MP will agree that if nothing is done within six months, they will stand down. 2023 was the hottest year since records began. We signed the Paris Agreement eight years ago, well nine years ago and nothing’s been done.

“I have children. I have grandchildren. I’m very, very, very concerned and this is why I’m going to give this letter expressing my feelings to my MP Keir Starmer, in the hope that he will take some action.”
