Fundraiser's idea to turn old sails into bags is raising thousands for Pitsford Reservoir-based Northampton Sailability
A kind-hearted woman has set sail with her own brilliant venture to support a special local yachting club.
Sarah Butcher makes tough, multi-coloured bags out of old sails at Pitsford Reservoir-based Northampton Sailability.

Hide AdAnd then she sells them for anything from £10 up to £30 for big duffel bags – and pumps the cash straight back into the club.
“I’ve already raised over £2,000 for Northampton Sailability.
“They are a smashing cause helping disabled people to sail – and they’re very close to my heart,” said Sarah, of Little Brington, Northants.
“I’ve called my little enterprise On Sail Again, which is quite cute.

Hide Ad“I recycle old sails, which would otherwise be thrown into landfill tips, and I raise crucial cash for the club.
“So both environmentally and financially everyone’s a winner!”
