And while an application has yet to be submitted for the park, plans for access off Lutterworth Road have been given the go-ahead. The road to Washbrook Lodge will be widened by five metres and hard surfaced.

The proposed farm park would see most activities take place outdoors and visitors encouraged to learn life and learning skills. Any buildings would be in a log cabin or stable style so sessions can take place indoors in bad weather.

The application reads: “The philosophy underpinning the farm park model in this instance is to promote respect for others and to encourage young people to make meaningful connections through the media of nature, horticulture, animal care and countryside skills.”
