Plans are being submitted this week to enhance the ‘Cultural Quarter’ at the heart of Market Harborough and help to promote the town centre to new visitors.

The Cultural Quarter includes The Old Grammar School, St Dionysius Church, the Symington Building, Harborough Library and Museum and Harborough Theatre.

Roundels featuring the words ‘Cultural Quarter’ will be integrated into these venues and the windows of local businesses will also display stickers with further signage to follow.

Harborough District Council says the project delivers a key part of the Market Harborough Town Centre Masterplan that was approved last year to improve economic growth in the town.

Council leader Phil Knowles said: “This project contributes to our regeneration and growth ambitions for the Harborough district. The Cultural Quarter in Market Harborough will revitalise and reconnect people to some of the great venues the town has to offer.”
