Driver blew five times legal drink drive limit after crashing into stationary vehicle outside Kibworth pub

A driver arrested after a crash in Kibworth on Wednesday was more than five times the drink-drive limit, police say.

The man was held after he crashed into a stationary vehicle outside The Swan pub in Kibworth at about 3.45pm.

He was breathalysed by officers at the scene and gave a roadside breath sample of 187, police said.

That is over five times the legal limit of 35.

The man, who hasn’t been named, is now set to appear at Leicester magistrates’ court following the alleged offence.
