A pub in Market Harborough has been recognised as one of the best pubs in Leicestershire.

Beerhouse in St Mary’s Road, Market Harborough, has been chosen as Leicester CAMRA’s County Pub of the Year.

Beerhouse, off a yard behind St Mary’s Chippy, only opened in December 2014.

It billed itself as “the first micropub in the Harborough district”.

The micropub movement concentrates on socialising, featuring small pubs, beer straight from the cask, no music and no TV.

Recent Beerhouse reviews on Trip Advisor include “great beers and helpful staff”, “a must for all real ale drinkers”, “simple, no-nonsense quality and “don’t leave Market Harborough without a visit”.
