. This will take place at Lutterworth College between Thursday to Saturday January 25 to 27, including a matinee performance on the Saturday.

As previous winners of the ‘Award for Best Pantomime in Leicestershire and Rutland’, WDG will yet again be staging a family pantomime guaranteed to delight an audience of all ages. This pantomime is full of wonderful enchantment, including talking furniture, and narrated by a giant French poodle called Max (Richard Holyoak).

This story of Beauty & the Beast is set in 19th Century France, and although very different characters from what we all know in the Disney version, the prince (Xander Stone) is turned into a hideous Beast for all time by the wicked witch Malabelle (Naomi Cooper) unless the Beast (Scott Cooper) can win a loving kiss to break the curse! This pantomime offers a great opportunity for some of our up and coming members to show off their talents, and with the ever present Dickie Wood as Ma, the loveable Dame, mother to Beauty (Elizabeth White) and Jacques (Harry Pearson) there is a great mix of youth and experience throughout cast & crew.

Beauty & The Beast is directed by Andrew Spencer and produced by Lauren Crooks who are delighted to have been given their directing and producing debuts this year through WDG’s mentoring scheme.

The show is enhanced by performers from ‘The Warrington School of Dance’. And remember, panto tickets make excellent Christmas or New Year presents!

Tickets are priced at £10 with £8 for concessions, family of 4 at £30 and family of 5, £35. These are available at Max Electrical in Lutterworth or by calling WDG’s box office on 07913 880663.
