Fans all over Harborough and beyond will be able to watch and enjoy Great Bowden Music Fest online next month.

The virtual spectacular will go ahead between Thursday July 9 and Sunday July 12.

Some 12 online shows will be staged, embracing the bold, ambitious range of music fans have come to expect from the Music Fest.

Music Fest Chairman Tim Blades said: “We were very disappointed to have had to cancel this year’s live concerts.

“But we are delighted that so many of our performers have agreed to take part in this online version of the Music Fest.”

He added: “As ever the musical treats will cover a wide range of styles.

“They include an afternoon with Prokofiev, Friday night musicals, Sam Rodwell on guitar, jazz favourites and even a Saturday Ceilidh.”

Full details of how to subscribe to the Music Fest’s YouTube channel and access the performances can be found on the Music Fest’s website at https://www.greatbowdenmusicfest.comThere is no entrance fee or tickets but you will be able to make a donation.

The proceeds will be split between the musicians, many of whom rely on performing fees for their livelihood.

The website will tell you how to donate online or in person by cheque or through a collection tin at Great Bowden shop and deli Weltons.
