William battles through snow for his bronze

Harborough athlete William Ronald claimed a bronze medal as he competed in the Scottish National Cross Country under 13 boys race in Falkirk.

The Robert Smyth Academy pupil placed third in very tough, snowy conditions.

William, who runs for Corby AC, was competing for his Scottish club Kilbarchan, leading the team to third in the team event.

William also plays football for Northampton Town Academy and has had a successful cross country season. winning Midland League races and finishing second overall in the Leicestershire schools year eight and nine boys’ league.
