The Bees trailed three times at the DWB Stadium on Saturday, but a free kick from Joel Konteh, Freddie Robinson’s header and a long-ranger from recent signing Harry Wakefield secured their share of the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

Alex Beck scored twice and Fraser Bayliss was also on target for the Poachers.

“As the scoreline suggests, it was an exciting game,” Harborough manager Spencer said.

“Boston are a much-improved side this year and they’ll probably end up finishing in the top eight.

“In that sense it’s probably a case of being a point gained rather than two dropped.

“I think we did well to come back from behind three times and the side deserves credit.

“Some teams in the mid-table area may let their heads drop if they went behind once, twice or three times and wouldn’t recover.

“But we got something from the game, which is a positive.”

While his side didn’t lead in the contest, Spencer believed a draw was the fair result.

“I think on the overall balance a draw was the right result,” he added.

“If we’d have lost we’d be unhappy, and it would be the same for Boston.”

Kade Lewis kept his cool to secure a stoppage-time victory for Lutterworth Town as they hosted UCL Premier highfliers Holbeach United on Tuesday night.

With the contest looking set for a stalemate at Kong Park, Lewis stepped up to net the only goal of the game with just seconds remaining.

“He had to wait a a long time to take it as well,” manager Josh Dixon said of the matchwinner, whose last appearance for the club was in the FA Vase clash at Consett on January 11.

“He’s not played for a while but he did the job from the spot.

“He was fantastic, my man of the match, not bad considering he’s not played in two months.”

Lewis has found appearances hard to come by this term due to work commitments.

However, Dixon says he is keen to keep the player involved with the squad where possible, particularly for midweek matches.

Saturday’s contest against basement boys Pinchbeck United was postponed, but the Swifts showed no signs of rust as they overcame the Tigers, who sit fifth in the table.

“I’m really happy,” Dixon added as that six-game winless run - which stretches back to the defeat at Consett - came to an end.

“That’s more like it, more what is expected from the lads.

“It’s felt like a long time coming, but it’s all about that right mentality.

“We’ve lost games late on recently, but this time it was different.”
