Harborough Town and Lutterworth Town will go head-to-head this weekend - with both managers targeting three points.

The two Leicestershire rivals will go into Saturday’s contest with spirits high.

The Bees showed their fighting spirit as they left in-form Boston Town with a 3-3 draw at the weekend while the Swifts ended their six-game winless streak with a last-gasp victory over

Holbeach United on Tuesday.

And after playing out a 2-2 draw at Kong Park in December, both sides would love to go one better this time as the meet at the HTFC Community Ground.

“It’s important we play to our strengths,” said Harborough boss Stuart Spencer.

"We have to stick to what we do and play our game.

"People like to see it as a local derby and it’s a game where we would like to go one better (than the last meeting) and get a full return.”

Lutterworth boss Josh Dixon was in buoyant mood following his side’s victory over the Tigers in midweek.

And he is expecting a different game to the one the Swifts and Bees conjured up last time.

“It’s a huge game, a local derby, and we have to make sure we back up our last performance,” he told The Mail.

“It’ll be a completely different game on their 3G pitch.

“A lot has changed since the last game, changes in players and things like that.”

Only a point separates 12th-placed Harborough and Lutterworth, in 13th, in the United Counties League Premier Division table.

Action will get underway at 3pm.

Both sides return to action on Tuesday evening, Lutterworth hosting Sleaford Town and Harborough travelling to Rothwell Corinthians.

The games will kick off at 7.45pm.
