Britain's Got Talent: 6 must-see moments from the final

Newcastle comedian Lost Voice Guy has been crowned the winner of Britain's Got Talent after an emotional and surprising final.

The 37 year old (real name Lee Ridley) has cerebral palsy, which affects his ability to speak. To perform his stand-up comedy routine, he uses a voice synthesizer.

In the talent show's 12th final, Ridley beat musical comedian Robert White and singer Donchez Dacres to the top spot, winning £250,000 in prize money and the chance to appear at the Royal Variety Performance.

As the first comedian ever to win Britain's Got Talent, Lost Voice Guy's winning performance won't be forgotten in a hurry. Here are the final's other most memorable moments that you'll want to catch up on if you missed them.

As many viewers will be aware, presenter Declan Donnelly was going it alone during the final after his long-time co-presenter Ant McPartlin decided to take some time away from work following a drink-driving incident.

During the show, notoriously nasty judge Simon Cowell took the time to congratulate Dec on a job well done, which was a very sweet moment.

Dec's awkward microphone gaffe

A knee-jerk reaction was no doubt to blame for the awkward moment when presenter Dec asked the show's winner Lost Voice Guy a question before offering him the microphone. Of course, the contestant cannot speak, so had no use for the microphone.

You can see the grimace flash on Dec's face as he realises his own mistake.

After teasing fans via a video link, Channing Tatum appeared on stage during the programme to perform as part of a Magic Mike dance routine. The actor and dancer (who starred in the film Magic Mike) was there to promote the UK stage show of the same name.

Dec letting the cat out of the bag

Poor Dec. Perhaps the nerves of going solo got to him, but the presenter had another blunder when he accidentally revealed too early that dance crew DVJ were no longer in the running for a spot among the final three acts.

There were boos from the crowd when the news was announced.

Two contestants with disabilities making history

What a wonderful, wonderful evening for disabilities. You can't deny that someone with aspergers and someone with cerebral palsy in the top 2 is nothing but inspiring. If you have a disability, you can achieve anything....#BGTfinal2018 #bgt pic.twitter.com/GasQrxZ27G

For the first time in Britain's Got Talent history, the final two contestants both had disabilities, but proved that it would not stop them from achieving their dreams.
