Travellers who set up an unauthorised camp in a car park on the outskirts of Market Harborough have moved on.

The large group with over a dozen caravans pitched up in the huge car park shared by Harborough Football Club and Market Harborough Rugby Club on Northampton Road earlier this week.

They were warned by police that they had to leave by 6pm last night (Thursday).

And Harborough police said last night that the travellers had got up and driven off before the evening deadline.
