Motorists are being advised to avoid the A6 near Harborough due to heavy traffic.

The problem is currently between the McDonald's roundabout and Kibworth.

Drivers say it is caused by an ongoing problem with two sets of traffic lights close together. When drivers go through one set and the others turn red, the road gets blocked.

Talking about the traffic light problem, Market Harborough police said: "We have reported this multiple times, and we forced them to change to manual control on Monday.

"We will continue to make representations and get this sorted."
