Six-car crash closed busy road near Harborough to rush-hour drivers for three hours

A six-car crash closed the busy A14 near Market Harborough to rush-hour drivers for three hours on Thursday evening (November 26).

Luckily no one was seriously injured in the crash on the A14’s westbound carriageway between the Kelmarsh and Welford junctions at about 5pm.

Fire crews from Desborough and Rothwell which raced to the scene cut free a driver from a wrecked motor while police and ambulances also attended.

Two Mercedes cars, a BMW 3 series vehicle, two Fords and a Citroen C4 were involved in the catastrophic smash, said Northamptonshire Police.
