Motorists are being banned from parking between Gunnsbrook Close and The Green on Main Street and part of Langton Road in a bid to keep local routes clear.
Highways chiefs at Leicestershire County Council are acting after receiving complaints from angry villagers about drivers parking near the Red Lion pub, putting both other motorists and pedestrians at risk.
“The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate prohibition of waiting due to parking safety issues,” said the council.
