Firefighters say blown tyre caused huge car transporter fire on M1 near Catthorpe Interchange
Firefighters who spent hours tackling a huge car transporter fire said the blaze caused by a blown tyre on the trailer.
The fire happened yesterday (Monday) on the M1, north of junction 19 near the Catthorpe Interchange, where fire crews from Lutterworth, Hinckley and Southern Fire Stations worked until just after 9pm.
As previously reported, nobody was hurt in the fire. The incident did cause long delays in the area.
