Stretch of busy road in Harborough set to be shut until early next week

A stretch of a busy road in Market Harborough is set to be shut until early next week as a serious water leak is fixed.

Logan Street, which runs off Coventry Road, is being closed from Knoll Street to Highcross Street as the emergency work is carried out.

Traffic will be diverted around the sealed-off stretch in the heavily built-up residential area for the next four or five days.

A Severn Trent Water spokeswoman said: “Our teams have been made aware of a leak on Logan Street – it’s not affecting anyone’s water supply.

“Our teams will work to fix the leak quickly, but will require a section of the road to be closed to keep them and others safe.”

She added: “We are sorry for any inconvenience.

“But it will be our priority to ensure everything is fixed and back to normal as quickly as possible.”
