Scores of people in Market Harborough are experiencing low water pressure today (Wednesday) after a pipe burst.

A Severn Trent Water team is now tackling the problem on Fairway, near to the junction with Fairfield Road.

Motorists are also being urged to take extra care as the leaking pipe has caused local flooding.

A Severn Trent spokeswoman said: “We are really sorry for any disruption caused by the burst pipe on Fairway this morning.

“The good news is that everyone’s water supply is on and teams will be arriving at site soon.

“It is our absolute priority to get the pipe fixed and everything back to normal as quickly as possible.”
