The Great Lutterworth Santa Fun Run on Sunday (November 29) is expected to attract more than 1,000 entrants.

And assistance dog charity Canine Partners is urging people who haven’t signed up yet to get involved.

Participants will be given a santa suit, hat and beard to wear as they start and finish either the 4k or 5.7k route at Lutterworth College from 10am.

Canine Partners is one of a number of charities who will be benefitting from the annual event which is organised by The Lutterworth Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Lutterworth Wycliffe.

The charity, which provides assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities, will have some of their dogs attending the event.

Helen Watkinson, regional fundraiser for Canine Partners, said: “This is a fun event that anyone can get involved in – any age or ability.

It is £10 per adult to enter and £4 for children under 16. Price includes santa outfits which participants can keep.
