The Lutterworth area, which now falls in MP Alberto Costa’s South Leicestershire constituency, would share an MP with Market Harborough for the first time if the blueprint is backed.
The urban areas of Harborough MP Neil O’Brien’s political patch – Oadby, Wigston and South Wigston – would help to form the new Blaby, Oadby and Wigston constituency.
A consultation into the new Parliamentary proposals has now been launched.
They will take effect in 2023 if they get the go-ahead.
