Harborough council hopes to form 'new alliance' to work with neighbouring authorities
The council is setting up a ‘Southern Leicestershire Strategic Alliance’ with Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and Blaby District Council.
Cllr Phil King, leader of Harborough District Council, told a full council meeting on Monday night: “We want to improve collaboration and work together.

Hide Ad“These are not formal arrangements but agreements that will help build on the existing shared services and collaboration that already takes place.”
He said the new alliance would help “co-ordinate important work on a number of issues such as carbon footprint reduction, supporting communities and strengthening town centres”.
