Police are urging drivers to slow down after two cars collided near Lutterworth on an icy morning today.

The crash happened at about 8.10am on the A426 Lutterworth Road near the village of Dunton Bassett as overnight temperatures plunged below zero.

As well as police East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene as they treated one person for a “minor condition”.

No one else was injured and the cars were being recovered.

Harborough police officers who went to the crash scene tweeted: “Please slow down!”
