The World Conker Championships have been held annually since 1965.

It started in the village of Ashton but moved to Southwick, near Oundle, in 2013.

Participants from across the globe gather to compete in this traditional British game, where competitors use horse chestnuts – conkers – threaded on string in head-to-head battles.

Beyond the fun and competition, the event has become an integral part of the community, raising funds for charity and bringing economic benefits to the area by drawing thousands of visitors each year.

Since 1965, the event has raised £420,000 for charity.
