A former Market Harborough nightclub is to be turned into high-end boutique apartments.

The old Enigma venue in the town centre – known and loved by thousands of Harborough revellers over the years - is to be transformed by a specialist property company.

And it’s run by a family who used to enjoy great nights out at the Coventry Road club themselves.

Stylish Living, together with its business partner Scott, has bought the outlet property consultancy Fisher German.

Managed by Emma Estill and her partner Dan, with other family members also working for the business full-time, the Leicestershire-based business invests, develops, designs and manages its property portfolio in-house.

The team will turn the building into:

- Two two-bedroom duplex apartments with bi-fold doors leading to a roof terrace

- A one-bedroom duplex apartment overlooking the High Street

- 10 self-contained studio apartments which will have a shared cinema room and workspace studio.

The apartments will be available to let inclusive of bills on a fully-furnished basis.

Stylish Living managing director Emma said the “company’s focus on high-end premium living will bring a completely new offering” to Market Harborough.

“We’re extremely happy to purchase Enigma.

“With the Stylish Living team being local, a number of us have fond memories of the nightclub before it closed its doors in 2015, as do the majority of our build team.

“So it’s a special project for us, and it was really exciting when we got the keys and were able to go back inside,” she said.

“The apartments will contain everything you would expect from a boutique hotel, right from the fixtures and fittings to the appliances and soft furnishings.

“For us it’s all about producing somewhere that is really high-end with creative interior design which gives each apartment a unique look and feel.

“We are currently at the rip-out stage but would expect the development to be completed by early 2022, with reservations being taken from towards the end of this year.”

William Green, of Fisher German, said: “We are very pleased to complete on the sale of the former Enigma nightclub.

“While the popular Enigma Café bar is still thriving at street level, the upper floors of the building have been empty for a number of years and Stylish Living has some fantastic plans to bring it back to life while delivering high-end accommodation to the town.

“We look forward to seeing the completed development.”
