An intriguing initiative is being launched to showcase how people in Leicestershire are coping during the coronavirus crisis.
The community social media project will gather pictures, videos, artwork and sounds showing how you are spending your time in the Covid-19 lockdown.

Hide AdThe ‘CV-19 IsolatedbutInspired’ campaign scheme is being run by Leicestershire County Council’s heritage and libraries participation team.
The unit’s inviting people from across Harborough to share their photos and video clips to show how they are living through these unprecedented days.
The shared contributions will be brought together to create a time capsule film.
The unique footage will highlight how people adapted and evolved, both socially and creatively.

Hide AdExamples already submitted include clips of the #clapforcarers campaign and pictures of rainbows in windows.
But the blueprint is taking on many different themes as the catalyst for new activities and ideas.
Whether it’s seeking out heirlooms in the attic, sharing traditions that continue, or delving into new areas, such as TikTok videos, the participation team would like to see what you have been doing during their time in lockdown.
Cllr Richard Blunt, the council’s cabinet member for heritage, leisure and arts, said: “This is a difficult and turbulent time for everyone and what we all knew as day-to-day life has drastically changed.

Hide Ad“This campaign gives new meaning to adapting for the better.”
He added: “We want to continue to show that we are all in this together.
“Sharing content to show how individuals use different coping mechanisms and technology to see them through will be a testament to our time in these difficult circumstances.
“They will also be preserved for generations to come."
The campaign is live on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #CV19IsolatedbutInspired

Hide AdOnce made the film will be given its own special stage when the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Record Office re-opens.
Robin Jenkins, senior archivist at the county council, said: “Coronavirus is a significant global historical event.
“We are delighted to be supporting this project which is seeking out the positivity and real sense of community that has been undeniable in recent weeks.”
He added: “We see this film as an opportunity to share with future generations how we coped at a pivotal point in history - isolated socially, but united in spirit.”

Hide AdVideos submitted should be no longer than two minutes in length and should be phone quality.
All art forms - such as photos, artwork, video and writing - should be submitted with the relevant permissions.
Content submitted doesn’t need to include people themselves.
It can show art, animals, landscapes, collections or other family and friends - as long as they have given permission.

Hide AdThe team hopes to build up a gallery which will be used as the foundation for the final video.
