A creative Market Harborough powerhouse has written a special song saluting Captain Sir Tom Moore for primary schools across Harborough.

Edgy Productions, based on St Mary’s Road, writes and publishes original musicals and songs, performed by excited pupils at primary schools throughout Leicestershire as well as worldwide.

What A Year!' which is all about the extraordinary events of the last 12 months and will be made available to schools in early March,” said managing director Andrew Oxspring.

“As Captain Tom's walk for NHS charities was a major event during this time, one of the 10 songs in the musical is an upbeat, celebratory number about him and his achievements.

“We sent a recording by our brilliant Harborough students to the Captain Tom Foundation at the beginning of January - they thought it was fantastic and sent us their congratulations.

“With the sad news of Captain Tom's passing last week however, we have re-written part of the song to mark this,” added Andrew, who launched his musical dream factory in 2001.

The Captain Tom song is now available for download from the company’s website www.edgyproductions.com for a nominal price of £2.

And 100 per cent of profits made will be donated to the Captain Tom Foundation.
