The honour is only awarded to lensmen and lenswomen who have had images assessed by the Guild of Photographers over a year and achieved an exceptionally high score.

Based at Wilbarston, Sandie said: “I am thrilled to have been awarded the Photographers Bar for the third year running.

“For the last two years I have achieved this in the Pets category which is my specialism.

“I’ve been lucky to photograph some lovely dogs whose images have been entered in the competition.

“I’m over the moon to have received this recognition, particularly in 2020 when so much has been impacted by the ongoing Covid pandemic.”

Only about 250 people have achieved the Photographers Bar in the seven years since it was launched.

Steven and Lesley Thirsk, directors of the Photographers Guild, said: “We are delighted for Sandie as this is a great achievement.

“Submitting and having images assessed every month for a year and reaching the required standards to become a member of the Photographers Bar is very demanding.

“It illustrates her commitment, skill, and consistency.
