A Market Harborough charity is urging everyone to get behind refugees and homeless people this Christmas.

Harborough Twenty 12 Lions club are requesting second-hand items for Harborough Helping Refugees, Y homeless shelter in Leicester and Northampton Hope centre for their December collection.

Members of the Lions Club will be at HFM offices on Fernie Road, Harborough, between 4pm and 6pm on Friday December 20.

They are keen to collect any donations of the following items:

- Adult winter coats

- Men's underwear

- Men's jogging bottoms

- Socks and men's trainers

- Sleeping bags
