Market Harborough’s Royal British Legion leaders laid a wreath in the town centre on Saturday (May 15) to mark the 100th anniversary of their world-famous organisation.

Stewart Harrison, the chairman of the RBL’s Market Harborough branch, carried out the poignant ceremony at the town’s war memorial with new branch president Barbara Johnson.

Our photographer Andrew Carpenter was there to capture the moment.

Stewart said the 100-year landmark was a 'proud and humbling' moment.
