Delighted Kyle, of Northampton Road, Market Harborough, said: “We have lifted off into a whole new world by livestreaming our music.

“We are entering a totally new dimension and people are loving it.”

The well-known local music therapist added: “We have a super team of volunteers working with us and this is a brilliant new resource.

People can listen in now from their laptops, iPads and any other devices that they wish to.

“Our fantastic website has been donated and hosted by local Leicestershire company Hypergalaxy – and we are very grateful to them!”

Working alongside her colleague Christina Birkby, she said their Leicester Musical Memory Box brainchild is now coming up to its second anniversary.

“We used to be Singing for the Brain working with the Alzheimer’s Society but now run independently.

“We host six groups of people at the Wolsey Building in Leicester every week,” said Kyle, who’s sang in local bands and starred at Harborough Theatre and on Hfm radio station for years.

“We bring people with dementia from across the county together through music.

“People can find it difficult to remember and recall songs played at weddings and all sorts of special occasions.

“But as soon as I play it to them the golden memories come flooding back – and it’s truly wonderful to see.

“We see people from Lutterworth and Fleckney and were just about to launch a monthly music group at St Dionysius church hall in Market Harborough when the lockdown began.

“I am live streaming songs now four times a week – I’ve never been busier!

“We are also regularly posting up very familiar and much-loved content such as TV theme tune titles and popular adverts such as Smash potato aliens and Just One Cornetto and we are going from strength to strength.”
