A Harborough woman will be giving people a helping hand with their health and wellbeing during a pop-up event next month.

Reflexologist Patricia Lavelle is hosting a series of free pop-ups on three consecutive Tuesdays, beginning November 5, based in Northampton Road in Market Harborough.

The practitioner, who runs high street-based Patricia Lavelle – Elite Foot Health & Therapy Reflexology – will be demonstrating reflexology, the practice of applying pressure on points on the body including ears, hands and feet to encourage calmness and healing, through hand massages.

The practitioner, whose chiropodist mum was known as ‘The Foot Lady’ by locals, first discovered the practice in Cape Town in South Africa when she went to a reflexologist for back pain. She found it improved her sleep and mood, as well as easing her MS symptoms, and began practicing 20 years ago, focusing on the feet.
