Harborough estate agents help crucial regional blood bike charity stay on the road

A leading Market Harborough estate agents is helping a crucial regional blood bike charity stay on the road.

Andrew Granger & Co has got behind Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes.

The High Street firm is sponsoring trackers for their six vehicles for a year – four motorbikes and two vans – at a cost of over £800.

Andrew Robinson, director at Andrew Granger & Co, said: “As a biker myself, I am in awe of what these guys do night after night, day after day.

“I’m so pleased we could help them in this way.”

Set up in 2015, Leicestershire and Rutland Blood Bikes is a charity run by public-spirited volunteers.

They ferry blood, blood products, pathology samples, patient notes, surgical equipment and donated breast milk all over the region.

The big-hearted bikers work at night, weekends and bank holidays – and support the Air Ambulance with blood.

They provide their services free to the NHS and other public health organisations across Leicestershire and Rutland, allowing the money saved to be spent improving vital frontline patient care.

Jonathan Bostock, vice chairman of Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes, said: “We receive no funding from the government or other health bodies and therefore rely entirely on the generosity of our sponsors, supporters and the public.

“There has never been a more vital time for the service we provide.

“We couldn’t be more grateful for Andrew Granger & Co’s sponsorship and support for the year.”
