Harborough district dad launches bold bid to help feed hungry people this winter


A Harborough dad is launching a bold bid to help feed hungry people this winter.
Jonny Hales, 50, of Great Glen, is uniting with his wife Anuszka and great pals Jim and Erika as they throw themselves behind the Trussell Trust.

Hide AdThe national charity is fighting to secure a “free future” for the entire country, both adults and children.
Jonny, the chairman of Glen Villa Juniors football club, said: “This is a fantastic cause.
“Nobody should be going hungry in the UK – or anywhere else – in 2020.
“So we are setting out to raise as much money for the Trussell Trust as we can.”

Hide AdThe public-spirited dad-of three added: “We want to feed those most in need this Christmas – and beyond.”
Jonny said they all created and designed a T-shirt during the first Covid-19 lockdown earlier this year.
“We did it to remind us of the year 2020 – and its message was Stay Safe.
“We sold the T-shirts from our website and donated all our profit, over £1,000, to our local Leicester NHS Charity,” he said.
