Up to 40 families took part in a fun-packed Light N Superhero trail involving five churches in Market Harborough on Saturday (October 31).

Sam Peverett, a warden at St Dionysius Church on Market Harborough’s High Street, said after helping to stage the event: “It went very well and was a great success.

“It really was last minute after our annual light party, a sort of alternative good Halloween celebration, had to be cancelled.

“But 30-40 families turned out and the kids loved it.”

She added: “I’m just pleased the torrential rain had stopped by the time we got started at about 4pm on Saturday.

“Groups had to solve all the clues as they went along and then tot up their marks at the end of the trail.

“Our theme was that Jesus is the light of the world, our five churches came together brilliantly to make this work and families had a lot of fun with children coming dressed as their favourite superhero.

“It’s certainly something that we’ll look at staging again.”
