A Christian counselling charity in Market Harborough has launched a new hotline to support people.

The popular Bower House service on Coventry Road was forced to shut when the Covid-19 lockdown was imposed in late March.

Staff are now opening a telephone support line from 9am-4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 2pm-8pm on Thursdays.

Fully-trained staff will be on hand to counsel and support local people feeling stressed-out, anxious and isolated during the devastating coronavirus crisis.

“The new telephone line is available for anyone to call when support is needed.

“It’s a chance to chat, to feel supported, connected, heard and to feel less isolated,” said Bower House.

“Our trained team will be ready to take your calls.”
