A Harborough school is giving away 80 seed bomb kits and over 200 plants to pupils - here's how to get hold of them

The plants and seed kits have been donated to the school eco team by local stores Waitrose and Aldi, as well as Froggery Cottage garden and individual donations from generous townspeople

A school in Market Harborough is encouraging youngsters to get green and clean today (Tuesday).

Market Harborough C of E Academy's Eco Team is giving away 80 seed bomb kits and over 200 plants to pupils at the Fairfield Road school.

The school has also received individual donations from generous townspeople.

“The Eco Team's focus this year was to increase planting in our local area and we didn't want the lockdown to get in the way!” said teacher and eco team leader Shelley Groves.

“I've been speaking to students in my class over the phone every day.

“And with so many of them learning a little bit about gardening whilst they've been at home, I thought it would be a great way to support our school community.”
