New Lutterworth town mayor elected

A new mayor of Lutterworth was elected this week.
Geraldine Robinson has taken over from Tony Hirons to become the mayor of Lutterworth.

Geraldine Robinson will take over the role from Tony Hirons.

Retired school librarian Geraldine is from a Lutterworth family that goes back five generations in the town.

She has been a town councillor for 17 years, and a Harborough district councillor since 2003.

She is also chair of the Town Estates Charity which owns £2m worth of property around Lutterworth.

She will raise money for heart monitors to be based at Lutterworth Health Centre and also an “open charity” that local groups can apply to.
