Man found dead inside a blazing car near Harborough

A man has died after he was found inside a blazing car near Market Harborough

The alarm was raised at about 5.30am on Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to Cottingham Road outside the village of Rockingham after the car was spotted on fire.

The body of a man in his 50s was found inside and he was declared dead at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner, said Northamptonshire Police.

The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out.
